Synchronous recording of temperature and speed

Understanding thermal behavior

Axial shaft expansion, temperature, and speed over time

This module measures the axial length expansion of the spindle shaft in real time – precisely, continuously, and directly under actual operating conditions. Changes in temperature and speed are recorded simultaneously and linked to the measured shaft expansion. This provides a complete picture of how the spindle shaft behaves thermally and dynamically.

Even the smallest changes in length – caused by temperature gradients, heat generation in the motor, or speed changes – become visible. This enables a detailed assessment of the thermal stability of a spindle, its warm-up behavior, and its dynamic properties during acceleration or load cycles.

Real-time measurement of axial expansion under actual operating conditions
Synchronous recording of temperature and speed
High resolution down to the nanometer range, ideal for evaluating even minimal thermal influences

Clear understanding of the thermal behavior of the spindle – from the cold start phase to high-speed operation

This provides a transparent, in-depth understanding of the thermal and dynamic behavior of the spindle—from the first rotation to continuous operation.
