Levicron and AMETEK has just partnered to provide their customers with industry leading ultra-precision technology. AMETEK Precitech now represents Levicron products in the ultra-precision industry for the Americas and Asia. With an installed base of more than 1.500 machines AMETEK Precitech is an international leading force in ultra-precision machining solutions.
With this newsletter we also introduce our brand new Ultra-Precision work-holding spindle ASD-Px. With the highest stiffness and load capcity, the shortest spindle soak time and least thermal growth in this class the user can make use of less than 15 nm error-motion to machine even larger Ultra-Precision parts in less time.
Every customer who uses our ultra-precise tool spindles ASD-H25 and ASD-H25A require HSK-E25 tool holders. However with a tool run-out of 3 micron and a balancing quality of G2.5 at 25.000 rpm the Germany industry standard DIN69893 doesn’t comply with Ultra-Precision requirements. Customer in Ultra-Precision Machining pushed us to come up with a better solution for tool holding than the solutions that are available on the market. With a guaranteed tool run-out of under 0.8 micron and a balancing quality of better G0.3 mm/s at 60.000 rpm our new HSK tool holder series UTS-x now provide the Ultra-Precision machining market with a perfect solution for tool holding and in combination with our ASD-H25 and ASD-H25A.
